Classmates

What a Motley Crue (stupid 80's pun intended)!  If you need glasses to find yourself in this crowd, welcome to the club.  Instead of making us get out the magnifying glass to find you, why don't you post a new picture of yourself on this page? Just make sure you give us a "then" and a "now" shot so we can recognize you.

JUST SO YOU KNOW, YOU DON'T HAVE TO POST A PICTURE IN ORDER TO SUBMIT YOUR PROFILE.  If you don't have a picture, can't post a picture, or don't want to post a picture, we'd still like to hear about what is going on in your life!  So before you leave this page, be sure to submit a profile whether or not it includes your picture.

WE NEED YOUR PROFILE SO WE HAVE YOUR UPDATED INFO FOR OUR UNPUBLISHED CURRENT CLASS DIRECTORY.  In order for us to keep in touch with you for future events, we need your current contact info.  Your basic contact info (address, phone, e-mail) is NOT displayed on the website, so your privacy is protected.  If you don't want to put up a paragraph about your life or post your picture, please consider registering a profile without them just so we have current contact information for you.  If you don't want any of your information about yourself published on the website, simply indicate that on your registration form in the box labeled "comments" and we will not put your profile up we will simply store your information in the unpublished directory.

Please note:  Your profile will not appear on the website immediately.  We will do our best to have it up for you within 24 hours.  Also, if you need us to upload your senior photo, we will.  Just indicate that you need our help as you fill out your profile and we will make sure it appears along with all of your other information.

What have you been doing for the past 10 years?: After college, I lived in Philly and NYC spending some time in the corporate world before finding my passion, in life and work. I met my husband Darren 11 years ago, and at the same time started my new career in community development. I've worked in social enterprise to help people access affordable housing, education, jobs, and capital. We have an amazing daughter Zoe, who is 8 and we moved to Vermont almost 5 years ago. We enjoy our work and our community finding time to do a bit of traveling, snow sports, kayaking and biking.

What have you been doing for the past 10 years?: I was working as a Physical Therapist at Helen Hayes Rehab Hospital in West Haverstraw NY, specializing in adult neurological PT & loved it! I went down to part-time when our children were born (now 7yo & 5yo), and am loving being a mom, too (although it's harder than PT!). We moved from the Hudson Valley in NY to MD (near Annapolis) last year & we are really enjoying being near the water & close to Wash. DC. I've been happily married for 12 years & we like to go camping, boating, hiking & be with our kids!

Comment: Thanks to the reunion organizers for creating this site!
What have you been doing for the past 10 years?: After graduation, I moved to NYC to study fine arts at Parsons School of Design. After art school, I worked for a few years at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Since 2000, I have been teaching art at a small K-8 school in Harlem. I love teaching although it is much harder than I imagined it to be. Now that I see things from the other side, I can appreciate what wonderful teachers we had at RHS even more. Last year, I finally completed my Masters in Education. I am also assistant director of a small non-profit art education organization that helps provide art and music programs for inner-city schools. In 2002, my boyfriend and I moved out of the city to the Hudson Valley. I still commute to the city for work. In a few years, we are planning to relocate to Ithaca, NY.

Comment: My "now" picture has me with the 2 most important women in my life......my beautiful daughter Samantha (as you can see, she DEFINITELY doesn't get her looks from me....haha!!) and my incredible mother, who also happens to be one of my best friends.
What have you been doing for the past 10 years?: Can't believe it's been 10 years since the last reunion, much less 20 years since high school graduation!! Presently, I have a 16 year-old daughter that is my world, my life, my passion, and I could not imagine my life without her. She is my rock, and my foundation by which I exist.

I am currently a bar manager, desperately looking to get out of that scene, and into an occupation where I can achieve my financial and career goals.

One thing that I have learned is that success isn't only measured by the size of the house you live in, the type car you drive, or how much money you have in your bank account. Being a dedicated and respected father has been extremely fulfilling to me, and that's one thing that money can't buy.

In my free time, I love to go mountain biking, hiking, listening to music, and playing my drums. No matter how bad things may get, everything is great when I am behind the drums. I am currently in 2 bands; an original band, and a cover band. Unfortunately, it is tough to make any money playing your own music these days.

Comment: I grew-up in Succasunna, living there thru the end of 9th grade.  Those last few years were tough as my mother slowly died from cancer, passing away during my freshmen year. My father, brother & I moved after that. Despite the incessant bullying during those last few years I have fond memories of a few childhood friends.  I graduated from Marist College in 1991, which is also where I met my future wife. We have two amazing children and live in Allamuchy.  I own a small company with a few employees located in Blairstown, living the American Dream.  I haven't attended a reunion for RHS yet.
